I am deeply disappointed with your remark – as I guess I’m the first person to blog about that. Yeah! You can check my twitter stream for that. Yes, SEO is a part of my blogging strategy but I’m always away from « cheap » or « black hat seo ».
Well, I should not be worried about someone’s comment – but still I would appreciate if you answer this.
I wrote « It smells like cheap SEO », not « That’s some cheap SEO ». Minor difference, but my point remains.
It’s just that everytime Google puts up a new logo/doodle, every « tech » website and Blog on the Internet jump on the occasion to talk/blog about it. It was once entertaining (especially with the aliens one), but now since Google changes its logo every 2 or 3 weeks, it’s starting to get pretty annoying and, to my eyes, very pointless. I don’t want to be rude, but who cares? I’m sure 90% of all Internet users have Google as their homepage, so they’ve already seen it. I just don’t see the point in blogging about it. Google already links (from their logo) to 2 or 3 news article (plus Wikipedia) that already talk about Isaac’s birthday. It’s in the top results. Don’t need to go further than that.
That said, you do as you wish. I was expressing my opinion about something very general, so don’t feel too concerned. I just took your blog as an example. Happy blogging.
